What would your musical utopia be? Playing a few tunes for Scarlett in order to get her dancing in a all red hotel room, how about that? How do you create sounds or tracks? Do you have ideas or concepts you try to realize, or do prefer to get lost in happenstance? I use minidisks, that old school sony thing. I've got piles of 'em and record every single skit on it. Sometimes i also usesounds from nowhere; namely the internet... Sometimes a buttslap from a porn movie can make a very "handy" clap! I just really hate it when you hear a sample in a track from which you can straight say "yeah that lame sample is on loopmasters - house for lammers vol 18 sample cd". I mean guys, fuck that, if you bought that crap then sell it to dumber then you, if you got it for free, get rid of that and don't use it. Sometimes just one sample can ruin a whole track for me, you shouldn't have used that sample sorry, laaaaammmmee... In which way do you feel your music (or dance music in general) expresses the condition of our society, the vibe of our times? I think there's two kind of people, the real jazz and the fake azz. Based on that i can only assume that today's one click button motto got us where we wanted to be; an easy world where everything is build to last seconds. The vibe of our times is that you don't have the time to make it right. I've choosen not to rush, i've got time, all the time and that is my vibe at the moment. Bonus: Alice Coltrane - Journey In Satchidananda ... and some more dub if size/time permits + one quarter of a super lame track so i'll appreciate the others so much more and if that player can do video i'd like to take that one indeed;
