minz is a dj, producer and live performer from the netherlands who's been involved in electronic music since the early 90s. 2 years ago he has started to focus on producing dance music and early 2007 his productions caught the attention of ripperton and in may 2007 minz released his debut un/mute ep on ripperton's perspectiv label. the ep was well received and his follow up 'jade ep' looks set to build on this success.

as a dj, minz draws influences from a wide spectrum of genres and his sets cleverly combine acid, deep house, techno, minimal and whatever else he sees fit. minz likes to play both cutting edge new tracks and obscure old records that time forgot. with a penchant for taking the dance floor on a trip full of detail and variety, minz shies away from all the obvious choices.

production-wise, minz creates tracks with thoughtful composition and meticulous attention to detail. his track chinese drip demonstrates how minz has the ability to create outstanding productions that grow slowly before knocking you off your feet.

the same applies to minz's live performances, which he packs full of everything from atmospheric to melodic and from dark to driving. still, he firmly believes it¹s all about the dancefloor and connecting with the crowd.
